Guardian Anniversary Party, OASIS 2019, and sundry bits…

Here’s an eclectic collection of photos and captions, mostly leftovers tied to articles in this month’s issue of the Gallifrey Guardian.

A late group shot from GoG’s 33rd birthday party (an earlier one is in the GG):

A few from OASIS 30:

The front of this steampunk costume can be seen in the newsletter (and yes, that fan beside him is snapping a pic of our Delegate from Alpha Centauri).

An expanded version of the Club table photo, showing our CyberDarts game (we set up Bowling for Daleks later).

This fantastic piece was created by It’s All Geek 2 Me. Check out their facebook page and click on “Our setup at Time Lord Fest” for LOTS of great Doctor Who-themed art. One piece can be composed of hundreds of pieces of paper. Their business card has a sketch of K-9 on it!

The Iron Throne set up for photo ops in the vendor room at OASIS 30, and shown in the July Gallifrey Guardian, was created by artist Paul Vincenti.

Robert Alsopp, Doctor Who designer/costumer, will be at DragonCon.

Hey, readers of the Gallifrey Guardian, can you match these photos to their news articles?

BBC’s Dr Who series 12 is seen being filmed at Gloucester Cathedral. It was the return of the Judoon’s who last appeared in 2007 when David Tennant was the Doctor. In the baking heat and covered by umbrellas, the Judoon really showed they could be defeated as one of the actors fainted (Not Pictured). Jodie Whittaker was seen on set filming inside the Cathedral, she took a moment out of her day to take pictures with roughly one hundred fans who were seen waiting outside. After spending sometime with the fans, Jodie could be seen in hysterics laughing as she walked back into the Cathedral.
